Blog 2: Why did you choose this career?
I remember when I was younger I wanted to be veterinary. Since I was a little girl, I love so much the animals but when I went to school I discovered I don't like science. After that, I was in a crisis when I discovered I wanted to be a filmaker. I maded that decision because I wanted to do the same that Tim Burton. But in Chile is not so good study cinema, and that time chilean cinema hadn't been as successful as now. When I talked with womens who studied cinema in Chile or others countries, they didn't been successful because they are women or because there is no work.
So I decided to study design two months before I did the PSU. I been always very good in arts. My mom says I inherited my grandfather's talent. In the school, arts was my favorite class too. I told my parents desing was the unique option to study in the university. They accepted because they didn't see me study other thing.
I think study design was the best decision I do in my life. Of couse, I still want study to be a filmmaker but with design can explore diverses areas. So my dream work is work in a film production company, preference in a big one (for that reason I try learn good english). The cinema is very important to me and I don't see me work in other thing.
The photo was my first time visited the university.
I see you in next bloog!

I didn't know you wanted to be a filmmaker, I'm glad you found a career you love.
ResponderEliminargreat blog, Catalina! Just a couple of things: remember that in English women is the plural version for woman and when we use phrases such as "I need or I want" and you have another verb, you have to add "to" like "I want to study" :)
